Schools at Narryna

Education and supporting schools is very important to Narryna. We are constantly looking at different ways to engage youth, and this is mostly done through school visits to the house. Narryna is currently looking at some different options to involve children in the museum, as well as have more interactive displays. If you have any ideas or would like offer advice for helping us cater more for future school visits, please phone (03) 6234 2791, or e-mail Narryna on mail@narryna.com.au.

A school visit to Narryna costs only $2.00 per child and all teachers and carers are free of charge.

Narryna always loves to hear feedback from school visits. Below is a gallery of letters and art work from schools that have visited Narryna in 2009.

Narryna Educational Resouce Now Avaliable!
An Educational Resource CD is available upon request. This is free of charge, but teachers will have to collect the CD from Narryna. The Educational Resource includes worksheets for early childhood through to high school; information about servants and how washing was done in the Victorian era; as well as photographs of Narryna, its collection, and some of its lovely dresses. There is also more detailed information about Captain Andrew Haig, as well as printable brochures and house guides. Please call (03) 6234 2791 to ask about the Educational Resource, or call into Narryna and receive one in person. Remember, all teachers receive free access to the museum to plan their excursion in advance once a booking has been made.
